In the run up to the big day, almost everyone focusses on the bride and how she’s fairing – that is, apart from the Best Man because as far as he’s concerned, the most important part of the run up to the wedding day is making sure the groom’s stag do is unforgettable and one incredible knees up. With the summer season comes an increase in weddings, in the hope that the blue skies remain and the photographs can pass without a hitch. As the Best Man, it’s your job to ensure that the stag’s last night of freedom is as awesome as he is expecting it to be and while some lads will be happy with a few pints down the local boozer, a trip to Ireland would be even more memorable, don’t you think?

As far as city breaks are concerned, Dublin has it all and it definitely knows how to party. Choose to travel from London and extend your break an extra night by booking the lads into one of the Travelodge Gatwick hotels, where you can chill out, unwind and prepare yourselves for a raucous weekend. Organising a stag do isn’t easy – we all know how hard it can be to plan something for a group of lads who’d be happy with a couple of jars and a gent’s club – so eliminating any stress is an absolute must. It’ll also make sure that everyone is there on time and will eradicate the risk of missing the flight because of tardiness.

Don’t play the weekend by chance – while it could be a success just playing it by ear, having an organized itinerary – at least for some of the trip – will help to keep a little structure. Make sure that any planned activities are paid for in advance so that you don’t have to worry about collecting the money on the day and don’t let the evening frivolities ruin the daytimes – most of the fun can be had during the day if you know how.

Choose from an array of awesome daytime activities, such as horse racing at one of the city’s top class racecourses, where you could make a few quid, or book yourselves in for some light hearted competition with a paintballing gun, or perhaps a game of airsoft for a little more authentic skirmishing. Take a tour of the infamous Guinness Storehouse in the heart of the city, where you and the boys can enjoy an afternoon revolving around the creamy stout.

While the days can be full of adrenaline and good hearted fun, the evening is when you can all really come alive and in Dublin, there are an unending number of restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs to choose from that will guarantee you an incredible evening of laughter and a well-deserved final holiday with the groom before he gets hitched.

As one of the finest cities in the world for a stag do, it’s no wonder Dublin is hugely popular with people from all over the world. It’s the home of Guinness after all, what more could you want!
